The Minimum Wage across California varies by county and by city, but is not less than $16.50 across the state in 2025.

If you were making less money per hour based on this chart, then call Bouklas Gaylord LLP today. We can help recover the wages you should have earned, with interest, penalties, and other fees.

*West Hollywood rates differ for smaller employers in 2023-24, and Statewide in 2022.
Why does the chart go back through 2022? Workers in California typically have three years to bring a claim against their current or former employers for unpaid wages, although that time could be as little as two years for oral promises to pay wages, and as great as four years if the unpaid wages also constitute an unfair business practice. That means that if you were paid less than the minimum wage as far back as part of 2022, we're likely able to help.
What if you are a Fast Food worker? California defines Fast Food workers in a different category, with a statewide minimum wage of $20 per hour as of April 1, 2024.
What if you are a Hotel Worker in the City of Los Angeles? The City of Los Angeles has a separate minimum wage for hotel workers:
Hotel Workers | 2025 | 2024 | 2023 | 2022 | 2021 | 2020 | 2019 |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Los Angeles | $20.32 - $21.01 | $19.73 - $20.32 | $18.86 to $19.73 | $17.64 - $18.86 | $15 | $15 | $15 |
$14.50 | $13.75 | $12.75 |
